He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery and traumatology at Hospital Municipal Lourenço Jorge and now heads the same service at Hospital Municipal Pedro II, as well as heading the on-call oral and maxillofacial traumatology service at Hospital Unimed Barra da Tijuca.
He sits on the oral and maxillofacial surgery and traumatology technical committee of the Secretaria Municipal de Saúde do Rio de Janeiro and is taking a mestrado - the Brazilian graduate degree - in medical sciences at the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
His scope of practice covers facial and dental trauma, orthognathic surgery, dental implants, temporomandibular disorder (TMD) and orofacial pain.
